4th - 5th September - Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival
9th - 10th of September - Monument guides will be on hand at the base of Nelson’s Monument in South Denes to explain the history and significance of the monument’s construction. Please note there will be no ascents on these days.11th and 12th of September the Nelson Museum will be open to the public for free as part of Heritage Open Days.11th September – Nelson Museum’s Volunteer Fete. The Volunteers of the Nelson Museum are holding a summer fete on the museum car park. Please come along and show your support.
29th September – Nelson’s Birthday Lecture, 'Young Nelsons: Boy Sailors during the Napoleonic Wars' by D.A.B Ronald
